Meet Our Leadership Team

Principal - Mrs. Trina Yale
Trina Yale is a dedicated middle school educator and leader who believes deeply in the power of schools to help students grow academically and personally. She earned her undergraduate degree in Middle School Education from Northwest Missouri State University, followed by a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Peru State College. She later completed a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Doane University, further strengthening her commitment to effective, student-centered schools.
Prior to becoming the principal at Gerald Otte Blair MIddle School, Trina has spent 19 years serving students and families in Elkhorn Public Schools, including 14 years as a middle school English teacher and five years as an administrator. She is passionate about working with middle school students and embraces the wide variety of needs, personalities, and strengths they bring to school each day. She believes all students can learn and that school should be a place where students not only gain academic skills, but also discover who they are.
Trina values Blair Community Schools for its strong sense of community and connectedness. At the heart of our work is a commitment to creating a welcoming, inclusive environment where every student feels valued and supported. Trina strives to ensure that school is a place where students feel safe to take risks, build relationships, and thrive—both in learning and in life.
